It all began at 12:30pm, when we started to organize the practice schedule so that it would run as smoothly as possible. We prepared a run order and started sorting out which costumes we had complete and ready for photos. The photos will be for the backstage hands to see a complete outfit so no dancer runs on stage missing something!
At 2:30pm sharp we began the photoshoot with the 6 dancers at hand.
Then by 3:30pm all 9 dancers came together to have our first run though of the choreographies. We got to see where we need work, and smooth out some minor details (such as some of us running into each other!). Watching us and taking notes was our MC Patti Cakes.
Starting with 9 of us, and moving through all the group choreograpies.
Cancan, Medleys, Chair, Charleston......
The group shrunk down to 6, the jazz and contemporary begins.
You see us throwing ourselves on the floor, triple turns.
Then there were 3. For 2 very challenging routines. Hoping the audience will choose these!
And finished it all off with an elvis number!
